You know sometimes things happen that make you wonder what the EF?!
These situations made one of us on the team think just that...
Sylvia's Costumes - on Hollywood Blvd
Designer of Jamie Foxx and the BET Awards went to Sylvia's to get some custom pieces made for Jamie Foxx for his current tour, "Intuition" and it was a rush order. The next day, all three pieces were completed and looked amazing. The only issue was, the price! She charged over $12,000! SHOCKING! After looking at the invoice and counting the actual crystals - we found that she charged for 240 packages of crystals, when in fact it was 24 packages -- so the bill was supposed to be over $4,000 NOT the crazy $12,000 (which she already charged the card). Anyone going to Sylvia, make sure you triple check your invoice!
Dr. David Light - well, well, well, this guy. He is shopping his screenplay, Triple Helix, attempting to get investors. Our team met him when he signed on Carmen Thompson for a different film of his, she worked for a few days, and he backed out, and of course, backed out of paying her for her work. "I actually spoke with him in person, talking with him about the unpaid invoice and he CLAIMED that the line producer owes me, not him." Goes to show, some people don't understand how the film industry works, and Carmen is bringing her claim to The California Labor Board, let them deal with him.
